EMERGENCY RULE On May 9, 2012 Bad River Tribal Council approved an emergency rule prohibiting the harvest of wolves within the exterior boundary of the Bad River Reservation until further notice.

Proposed The following are proposed changes for Section 5 – Chapter 325 – Commercial Fishing Regulations of the Bad River Tribal Court Code and Ordinances: (1) In Section 325.5(e)(i) adds, “Temporary hardship will have a 15-day limit which can be extended by a warden.” (2) In Section 325.5(e)(i) adds, “No member shall be issued tags for use off of a boat licensed by another tribe.” (3) Section 325.5(e)(i) adds, “Member(s) shall have application submitted by November 1 and have all necessary inspections completed before license is issued. Each boat will require one license. No member shall apply for or be issued more than one license annually except in the case that a member upgrades from a Small boat I, to a Small boat II, or to a Small boat III during a single year, in which case the upgrade(s) would only count as one license for that member.” (4) Creates Section 325.5(g), “Boat must be a Coast Guard documented vessel owned by Bad River member(s) and the owner/licensee must be present on the boat.” The Tribal Court Code and Ordinances can be accessed electronically at: http://www.badriver-nsn.gov/governance/tribal-court-code For a hard copy of Chapter 325 – Commercial Fishing Regulations of the Bad River Court Code please contact Becky Stanhope at 715-682-7107, ext. 1592.
