Job Title: Fisheries Assistant (1 positions)
Department: Natural Resource Department
Hourly Rate: $8.00/hr Full Time-LTE
Summary: The Fisheries Assistant will assist the fish hatchery operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities including the following:
Help maintain data and records.
Monitor harvest activity within the Kakagon River system.
Construct and install brush bundles to restore primary stream in original stream bed.
Construct and install fish structures.
Remove beaver dams by hand.
Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience:
Familiarity with fish identification.
Proficient in the use of hand tools, including brush saws, axes, and shovels.
Knowledge in the operation of ATV’s.
Willing to work irregular hours.
Other Skills and Abilities:
This is a required driver position.
Must have a valid driver’s license and meet eligibility for tribal insurance.
This position is contingent on ability to pass background check required. This position requires a regular background check to be run.
Must be self-motivating.
Must be able to work with minimal supervision.

Must be physically able to perform all job duties, including field work. Walking, standing, bending, stooping, and occasional lifting up to 50 lbs and/or carrying for short distances required.
