Burn Barrels

Burning in a barrel burns inefficiently, creates dangerous and deadly fumes, and leaves behind noxious trash and ash. Burning trash or recyclables in barrels is prohibited on the Reservation!!

The Bad River Band of Lake Superior Chippewa has drafted five codes that would apply within the exterior boundaries of the Bad River Reservation.  The Bad River Tribe is soliciting input from the public on the draft codes:

PUBLIC MEETING

 

The Bad River Tribe’s Utility Task Force will hold a public meeting on July 26th at 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. to provide an overview of the draft codes and accept public comments on them.  This meeting will be held at the Bad River Housing Authority, 75860 U.S. Highway 2, Odanah, WI.

 

 

The Tribe will consider all comments received by the comment deadline and will determine any changes which may be needed, before proceeding with decisions on the proposed codes.  Copies of the draft codes can be picked up at the Chief Blackbird Center Front Desk and the Bad River Natural Resources Department.
