Lacey started working for the Bad River Natural Resources Department in 2010.  Before then she held a number of different seasonal positions including being a piping plover monitor on Chequamegon Point, wood turtle surveying for the WDNR, invasive species inventory control with the USFS and WDNR, wildlife technician for the WDNR, and was the Aquatic Invasive Species Coodinator for Great Lakes Indian Fish & Wildlife Commission (GLIFWC). The wildlife program is a 100% grant funded program, mostly funded through Great Lakes Restoration Initiative (GLRI) funding.  Alot of the wildlife program's work is centralized around threatened and endangered species and future planning.  Projects are dependant on funding levels and set priorities.
